We went to the Pumpkin Patch at Maple Lane Farms on October 18, 2008 and we had a blast!! We went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkin. Olivia was so upset when the tractor dropped us off because she had so much fun riding on it. We finally found our pumpkin and Olivia found a couple more at checkout. I thought she did pretty good considering she hadn't napped ALL day:( We decided to hold off on carving our pumpkin until she was in a better mood. The hayride was great and we can't wait to do it again next year!!

Going to the Shriner's Circus!

I am so sorry that we haven't updated our site in a while. We have been extremely busy around here. These pictures were taken when we went to the Shriner's Circus at Thompson Boling Arena on October 12, 2008. We went with some friends and their kids. This was Olivia's first circus experience. It was definitely an experience. She wanted to run all over the place and it was just too crowded. She was pretty interested in the circus at first then wanted to color in her coloring book the rest of the time. All in all we had a good time.

We're Expecting!!

Well, just to let everyone know, Robbie and I are expecting baby #2. I am 7 weeks and I have known since September 29. It has been so hard to keep it from everyone, especially at work. We told our families a week after we found out. Our plan was to wait until I was about 10 or 12 weeks to tell everyone, but I cracked under pressure at work today....thanks to Paula and Kaci. I am kind of glad they did it though because I was about to explode. Robbie and I are very excited and cannot wait. We pray for a healthy pregnancy and are looking forward to everything to come. I am so glad that I can finally share this information with my great friends. Keep checking our blog for updates and pictures. Keep us in your prayers and will talk to you all soon :)

Foothills Fall Festival 2008

Olivia and I went to the kid's section of the Fall Festival on Saturday. Unfortunately, Robbie had to work and was unable to make it. I took plenty of pictures so that Robbie can see how much fun she had. She was very excited about getting a balloon. The one in the picture was her first one. We ended up with three by the time the day was over. She couldn't quite figure it out that when she let go it would float away. She would watch it in the sky and want to go get another one. As you can see by most of my pictures, it is so hard to get a picture of her face because she is always on the go. When I get her face she doesn't really know what to do. We are still working on smiling and saying "cheese". She loved the slides and especially the pile of gravel that Blount Excavating had set up. I had to take her away from it though, she kept throwing it everywhere and I am almost sure a couple of people had to walk away to flush out their eyes...OOPS! And then there is the ice cream. What can I say? She is just like her mother....you all will know what I mean when you look at the ice cream picture. We really had a great time and are so glad that we can share this fun time with all of our friends! Have a great day!

Olivia's First Haircut!

Olivia's hair has really been growing a lot. More so in the back. her bangs, however, are getting longer and longer by the minute. I always said I never wanted to cut them because I want them to grow out so we don't have to deal with having hair in her eyes later. It got to the point we gave in. She did really good with it. She is so cute. Her little face looks so much rounder now...I Love it!!

Olivia's Artwork!

Olivia has been getting really into the whole coloring and drawing thing. She absolutely LOVES it. We have been trying to teach her that paper is the only thing she should color on. I was washing the dishes and I noticed her out the corner of my eye playing. I finally looked over and she decided to display her greatest work of art.....on our cabinets. She stepped back and looked at it and said "WOW". She was very proud of it. We had a little talk and thanks to Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser we took care of it...after taking the pictures of course.

Olivia's day swimming with Lucas and Audrey!

Olivia was invited to a swim party with her friends Lucas and Audrey. I work with Lucas' grandmother, Dion, and Audrey's mom, Kaci. They had a really great time. Lucas and Audrey did so good in the pool. My daughter, however, found it more fun to sit alongside the pool and eat. She did fall into the pool only to be more worried that she lost her chip. She ended up keeping hold of it and was more worried about her chip rather than falling into the pool. They did take a cleaning break for a while. Dion's swingset on her backporch was sparkling after they were finished with it! Thank you Dion for inviting us over!

Hello Friends!

Hello everyone! We kind of took this idea from our good friends "The Busy Bradburn's". I thought this would be a great way for our friends and families to view our pictures in a fun way. I hope to keep everyone posted as often as I can with plenty of pictures and updates. I hope that everyone is doing well.
Love,
The Odom's
Robbie, Vanessa, & Olivia
